Description

Join us for this year's United Way Day of Action to sort books to be given to children across the state to create home libraries.

During the month of May, businesses, community organizations and individuals will be conducting book drives to help foster a love of reading.  New and gently used books for children of all ages (birth-teen), fiction and nonfiction, in all subject areas will be collected.  Last year we received over 40,000 books.  We can use your help to join us on June 10th to sort, label and organize the books so they can be distributed to children through summer learning, schools, and afterschool programs.  Help us get books into children's homes.  Join us.

Every volunteer also gets a free Live United tee shirt. There are three shifts:

9:00 am - 11:30 am

11:00 am - 1:30 pm  (lunch provided)

1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Come help us get books out to children for their home libraries!
