The Friends of the Arboretum-Riverwalk are seeking in-kind donations of plants (especially Geraniums / Bulbs in Autumn) for their award-winning Arboretum & Riverwalk.
They are also looking to secure donations toward the mulch needed to apply on the aggregate planting beds, which can be a cash/check donation to offset costs.
There is always a short ceremony to include clergy, scouts, Veterans and Volunteers in welcoming the Spring Season and demonstrating our appreciation to Mother nature for the preservation and protection of our public lands.
Since 2003, there are 100 plants cultivated to memorialize the lives lost in the Station Fire Disaster and to thank the survivors, first-responders and advocates for their kind assistance and service.
The Friends of the Arboretum-Riverwalk also hold a modest Coffee An period before the actual planting.
Anyone wanting to donate, volunteer and participate in this event please contact The JAYCEES!
