Become a matter of balance certified coach 

Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. 

Sign-up for the Coach training, presented by Federal Hill House and Capital Region RSVP and become a certified Matter of Balance Coach

This program emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls.

As a COACH you will assist those with a fear of falling:

  • view falls as controllable

  • set goals for increasing activity

  • make changes to reduce fall risks at home

  • exercise to increase strength and balance

Who should become a coach?

  • anyone who wants to help others combat their fear of falling

  • anyone who enjoys helping others live more independently

  • anyone concerned about falls

  • anyone interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength

Date:        June 21st & 22nd

Time:        10-2 pm

The Coach training is 8 hours total, provided in two, four hour sessions
